Come one, come all to a beautiful field and a barn in the middle of flat flat Norfolk. Carson Brent play at Beastival on Saturday 19th July:
Maybe if you know who to ask you could go here to get some details and the like......
18/06/08 - MIDSUMMER MINI FOLK FEST
Carson Brent have a slew of gigs a-coming, with a new slant in our delivery.
Expect laptop bubbles underneath our sweet aural brew, at some of the gigs anyway. Don't be dissapointed if we appear less of a 'synthesising folk-duo' than some people seem to think we are...
First up this little beauty:
That's Bristols Cube Cinema. Saturday 28th June. 6pm. £5. 5 bands and a BBQ. Need we say more?
More details of more gigs for July and beyond to follow, but as ever there's the Nrrrrrrrr page for those of you who just can't wait.

This list is liable to change, as it seems everything Le Grot touches turns to 'gig' (some sort of pseudo Midas effect) at the moment. Without further ado here is the list of Carson Brent gigs (all Bristol) for March/April (with a dram of May...)
Thurs 13th March, The Songworks night @ The Lansdown, Clifton, with Elliot Hall
Also Charlie Ansell, Carson Brent & Rory Nunn. 8pm, £4
Should be a good one this - intimate surroundings, ales, and some lowdown dirty wrenching of heart through ears.
Tues 18th March, Off Beat Promotions Acoustic Night , The Croft (Front Bar), No pounds, 7.30pm
Carson Brent and three others do battle with the door leading through to the Croft's back room....
Tuesday 22nd April - Live Music from Carson Brent @ Tiny Radio night, Blue Lagoon, Gloucester Road, 8pm CANCELLED
Open Mic Night with Carson Brent as invited guests
Another wonderful wee night, free entry and a lovely little bar to boot.
Fri 2nd May, Carosn Brent play Songsmith @ The Mayors Arms, Redcliff (69 Clarence Road)
Also Beth Ford, & Rich Maya. 8pm, £3
Well established and long running Bristol acoustic night. A reet funny place this one, but with a decidedly decent stage/pa; alas a decidedly cack choice of drinks. Still, the pints are sub £2.50 and the music should be worth at least the price of a donner.
Thurs 22nd May, The Songworks night @ The Lansdown, Clifton, with Elliot Hall
Also Vincent Callan, & Carson Brent. 8pm, £4/£2.50 concessions
Well, firstly Carson Brent were invited back to play this night again, which is great as it's a lovely place to play and the ambience of the evening unbeatable. It's doubly good as Elliot Hall is clearly brilliant. And it's triple good as the man Vincent Callan may deliver some Scouse House...

Come one, come all, brave the winter cold and port hangovers to head down Tao Bar, Cheltenham Road, Bristol on the 20th December for some live shenanigans. A night of free music featuring the following:
Falling Dan - Really rather good. Led by a man from the right end of the country whose guitar-rich ice-clad songs leave a trail crisp of unease in the snow
Stanton Delaplane - Terrifying beard, terrific songcraft and soundscapery. Wrestles songs from a huge piece of brass and gently piles on mountains of harmony
Carson Brent - Laptop-addled folk songs wandering the fringe of life's darker moments
Alexander Thomas - Theremin virtuoso creating waves of dense, lush and unexpected sound from thin air.

All went well, all went well. A successful Beastival outing for all; performers and punters alike. A special mention goes out from the CPF camp for Dr Kolin who rocked the MC-909 at 4pm on a sunny/thundering/raining Saturday afternoon in a barn somewhere outside Norfolk; onlookers with bottles of Scrumpy gaffer taped to their hands danced like giddy idiots. Special, truly special.
And for proof of Carson Brent existing out in the real world, have a gander at this here video from the show: Carson Brent performing the song Don't Let The Lights Die Out under watchful eyes. Note the audiophiles wet-dream of a recording, made through camcorder built-in stereo mic. Crisp, clear, detailed, full.

I can confirm all of the below. The very first real live appearance of Carson Brent is due to take place somewhere near Wattlefield in deepest Norfolk. The event goes by the name Beastival and is happening on July 21st 2007.
Now, this is an invite only affair(ish) so if you want to pop along (or you're simply curious) email beastival@googlemail.com telling the organisers who you are, where you come from, how dangerous you are, how far from the fence you fall, etc etc. Tickets come in at the highly reasonable sum of £8, and rumour has it the toilet situation will be highly elaborate.

In what some are calling a shocking and highly controversial move, the very first actual real live display of songs by the musical collective of Carson Brent is due to take place on 21/07/2007 somewhere near Norwich. Watch this space........

It's alive. From out of the cupboard and into the wide world, this is Carson Brent. You can hear it. Find a quiet spot and let these songs envelop you. With the sweet warblings of 'Le Grot' to boot. Smashing
